“I became a supervisor because I love teaching and I'm a people person who loves watching others grow in their work. Supervision feels like a natural way to support counsellors at different points in their careers to develop their practice, stay grounded in their learning, and sustain their wellbeing alongside the meaningful work they do.”

Colleen has maintained a private practice as a clinical supervisor and counsellor and has completed advanced Sandplay Therapy and Symbol work training. She was originally a learning support and special needs teacher and brings a curious, down-to-earth approach to supervision, drawing on reflective practice and trauma-informed principles.

How Colleen works

I offer individual supervision, group supervision, and supervision on supervision, so there is a format to suit wherever someone is in their practice. I work with people at every stage, whether they are just starting out in counselling, building on early experience, developing a specialisation, or returning to practice after a break, and with private practitioners and those at senior or advanced levels of their work.

I draw on Reflective Practice and the STS Model. Reflective Practice creates space to slow down and think carefully about what is happening in the room and why, and the STS Model brings a structured framework that holds the clinical, contextual, and personal dimensions of the work together. Both support supervision as a genuinely sustaining and professionally nourishing space.
