“I became a supervisor because I wanted to pass on what I've learnt over 30 years of practice, and I find it deeply rewarding to watch people grow in the work. Bringing experience and theory to real life and the therapy room means I can help supervisees develop the clinical skills and confidence they need, especially when they're working with complex presentations like trauma.”
Deb is a counsellor and supervisor with thirty years' experience working with trauma, anxiety, depression, and life transitions. She works in an integrative way, helping supervisees find practical strategies that work, whether they're new to the field, building specialisation, or in private practice. She believes learning is lifelong and brings warmth, directness, and a practical approach to the work.
How Deb works
I offer individual and group supervision, as well as supervision on supervision for those developing their own supervisory practice. I work with supervisees at all stages: practitioners new to counselling, early-career clinicians, experienced practitioners building specialisation, and people in private practice navigating the nuanced realities of running their own service.
I work from an integrative approach, drawing on what fits the supervisee and the work they're bringing. I also use the Rise Model, which supports clinical confidence and professional resilience by addressing both the practical challenges in the room and what sustains you as a practitioner over time.
