“I came to supervising because I’ve always valued thinking alongside other practitioners and supporting those finding their feet in counselling. I enjoy helping counsellors bridge the gap between what they learned in training and the reality of sitting with another person in the room. For me, supervision is about creating space to reflect, wrestle with the difficult questions, and develop your own voice — becoming more confident, thoughtful and grounded in the way you practise.”

I’m a counsellor and clinical supervisor who works with early-career counsellors, experienced practitioners and church leaders. I believe supervision should be a place where you can be honest about your work, including the times when you’re unsure, stuck or wondering what to do next. Having taught and supported counsellors in higher education, I understand that becoming confident in the work takes more than knowing the theory. My approach is warm, grounded and practical. I’ll encourage you, ask thoughtful questions and challenge you when it’s helpful, while creating a space where you can think out loud without feeling judged or needing to have all the answers. My aim is for you to leave supervision feeling clearer, more confident and increasingly grounded in who you are as a practitioner.

How Wayne works

I offer individual, group and peer supervision, and I work with practitioners who are new to counselling, early in their career, in private practice, and pastors or church leaders. I lend a professional listening ear to those navigating the demands of client work, whether you're finding your feet or facing the particular challenges that come with ministry alongside counselling.

I work from an integrative approach, drawing on the Rise Model, narrative, and person-centred frameworks. This means we can explore your work flexibly, paying attention to the stories clients bring, the relationship you're building with them, and the values and context that shape both their lives and yours in the room.
