“I became a supervisor because of the wise women who went before me, who inspired me, empowered me, believed in me, taught me, caught me and challenged me. I want to walk alongside practitioners in schools and beyond, offering them the reflective space and grounded support that helps prevent burnout and build resilience before crisis hits.”

Cathy works with education professionals and practitioners across settings, bringing over twenty years of experience as a school counsellor and 5 years as a clinical supervisor for School Counsellors, Wellbeing teams and students on placement. She's known for being down to earth, attentive, practical, and friendly and works with people at all career stages, from those new to school counselling through to experienced practitioners building specialisation. She knows that practitioners often carry stress and burnout, and her focus is on creating a reflective, grounded space where new meaning emerges and learning happens together.

How Cathy works

Supervises
Social workersCounsellors

I offer mentoring and coaching and consultation, and I work with practitioners across the full span of their careers: students on placement, those new to the field, early-career counsellors, and those building a specialisation or working at a senior or advanced level. I also work with practitioners returning to the profession after a break.

I draw on Reflective Practice, the Developmental Model, Person-Centred approaches, and an Integrative and Eclectic framework, alongside the Rise Up model. Together these create a space where practice can be examined honestly, learning is co-created, and the work is shaped to where each practitioner actually is.
