Jodie Gale

“I became a supervisor because I care deeply about ethics and good practice in therapy, and I'm drawn to watching therapists grow in their work. I run low-cost supervision groups alongside individual work, working from an attachment and depth psychotherapy perspective to support practitioners in their development, and I use an embodied approach to deepen work around transference and countertransference.”

Jodie is a registered clinical supervisor with more than twenty-five years in practice. She works with experienced therapists and private practitioners, bringing a generous and encouraging approach to individual and group supervision. She draws on several models and modalities to support her supervisees, particularly those who want to build a thriving private practice, a non pathologising approach, trauma and disordered eating and other food, weight and body image concerns.

Supervises
CounsellorsPsychotherapistsIndigenous healing practitioners

I offer both individual and group supervision, and I work with people at every stage of the counselling path, whether you are just starting out, building your early practice, or returning after time away. I also work with experienced practitioners who are developing a specialisation, and with those in private practice, including anyone working through what it takes to build or grow their practice.

I draw on a range of models, including the Seven-Eyed Model, which moves attention across the different layers of the therapeutic relationship, the Developmental Model, which meets you where you are in your growth as a practitioner, and the Rise Model. Reflective Practice keeps lived experience central to our work together, and Person-Centred and Integrative principles sit alongside Psychosynthesis Embodied Supervision, which brings body and whole-self awareness into the supervisory space.
