I'm an ACA‑registered Level 4 Counsellor and Clinical Supervisor. My practice includes in-person and remote counselling with extensive experience supporting children and adults in mainstream and alternative education settings, individuals in the corrective services and people living in rural Queensland.

Alongside therapeutic practice, I’m passionate about building capacity through workshops, training, and initiatives that strengthen emotional wellbeing and foster thriving workplaces, schools, and communities. My own lived experience has taught me the value of personal strategies that support wellbeing across body, mind, and emotions. This insight underpins my strong advocacy for early intervention and preventative approaches that empower people long before challenges become overwhelming.

How Julia works

I offer individual supervision and work with people at every stage of their professional life, whether you are just starting out in counselling, building a specialisation, returning after a break, or well established in private practice. Frontline workers are also very welcome. Wherever you are in your career, supervision creates space to reflect, strengthen your confidence, and support your wellbeing as a helping professional.

I draw on an integrative and eclectic base, weaving together person-centred, narrative, solution-focused, and reflective practice approaches depending on what each supervisee needs. I also work from the STEP-UP Model, a structured framework that supports ethical and professional development in supervision. Together these approaches offer both practical grounding and genuine space for reflection.
