Robert Sayers

“Supervision for me, is a vital aspect of caring for clients and counsellors. Clinical Supervision with me offers a calm, relational space to slow down and meet your work more fully. A place to reflect not only on what you are doing with clients, but how you are being within the work. I aim to support clarity, ethical depth, and the ongoing evolution of the counsellor. At its heart, the simple intention: to best serve our clients through greater awareness, presence, and reflection.”

I am passionate about supervision in counselling. A core focus for me is the inner world of the counsellor, and how our assumptions, biases and protective patterns can quietly shape how we listen, respond, and attend.

As these become more conscious, work often becomes clearer, more intentional, and ourselves more present.

How Robert works

Supervises
CounsellorsPsychotherapists

I offer individual supervision, group supervision, and supervision on supervision. I work with counsellors at every stage of practice: those new to counselling, early-career practitioners, those building a specialisation, senior and advanced clinicians, and people returning after a break. I also supervise private practitioners.

I work from a reflective practice model, holding space to explore not only what you are doing with clients but how you are being within the work. I draw on developmental, narrative, systemic and person-centred approaches, and my supervision is integrative, responsive to what feels most present and alive in your practice. We attend to the inner world of the counsellor, bringing awareness to how our assumptions, patterns and responses quietly shape the room.
