You prove your supervision hours with a record your supervisor has signed, showing the date, the length and the type of each session. Each association asks for this in its own format, so the simplest solution is one I built for you on Supriva. After each session you and your supervisor will receive a prompt asking you to confirm if the session went ahead. That confirmation automatically generates the evidence your association asks of you and is ready for you to export at renewal or audit.
Keep your records for audit
PACFA audits supervision records at its discretion and can ask for signed evidence for any year in the previous three, as set out in its Clinical Supervision Standard. AASW can ask to see your supervision evidence when it reviews CPD. A record kept as you go is far easier than reconstructing a year from your inbox, paper diary or calendar.
How Supriva helps
Every session you hold through Supriva is added to your supervision record with its date, length, format and supervisor. Your dashboard counts your hours against your own association’s rules and year, and shows how many you have recorded towards your minimum. When renewal comes, you can download the record to send as your evidence. Your association still makes the final decision on what it accepts, so Supriva shows your progress rather than declaring a requirement met.
