Catherine Broughton is a counsellor with eight years' experience offering individual and group supervision, and supervision on supervision, to practitioners at all levels, from those new to the field to senior practitioners and those returning after a break. She works with a broad range of presentations including anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship issues, and family conflict, drawing on person-centred, solution-focused, and reflective practice approaches.

How Catherine works

I offer individual supervision, group supervision, and supervision on supervision. I work with practitioners at all stages of their careers, from those new to counselling through to senior and advanced practitioners, including those who are building a specialisation or returning to practice after a break. I also supervise private practitioners and school counsellors.

I draw on reflective practice to help supervisees think deeply about their work and their responses to clients. I work from the Rise Model, which focuses on building resilience and capacity, and from solution-focused approaches that help identify what is already working and what might come next. My practice is also grounded in person-centred principles, creating a space where supervisees feel heard and respected as they explore their clinical work.
